Wake
In February 2008 Wake played their last ever gig at the Brewery Tap in Peterborough. None of the audience knew it would be the final gig……until they announced near the end of the set that they were splitting up the band. The last song was completed with the obligatory guitar smashing putting a very big full stop to the performance (no chance of an encore) and to the band that many have enjoyed over the years they had been together. I hadn’t had the chance to invite them for an interview before, but I wondered if they would be prepared to talk to me after “the end”. I approached Ben (guitar and lead vox) to see if he and Drew (bass), Dale (drums) and Ross (guitar) would be interested - if infact they were still talking to each other!
